I'm finding that there are a ton of new Twitter tools popping up everyday and the key is to figure out ways to best leverage these tools to find information that you're looking for. When searching in specific geographic regions (eg. Toronto) I like to use www.search.twitter.com and typing in Toronto along with any other keywords that may be relevent. Although, I can see CityTweets serving as a good tool to see what people in specific region are talking about as a form of market research.
